i left my heart in SAN FRANCISCO

Best spring break/road trip ever. We had a kind of rocky start getting a new tire and such but I seriously think that was one of the best weeks of my life. We got to my house at 1 am on Friday night, woke up the next morning and drove some more to get to my beach house at Stinson.

my little elliebabyy

We left Sunday night and spent the night in Ryan's apartment at SF State and the next morning we went to Haight St for shopping and crepes.

Tuesday we spent the day in San Carlos hitting my favorite place: Gracie's Sandwiches, the thrift store, the antique store, and Harmony, obviously.

That night we cooked baked cauliflower, spicy green beans, mashed potatoes, pork chops with black cherry sauce, and apple pie. Obviously we had to get dressed up for the occasion..

Wednesday we picked up Ryan and went to the Cartoon Art Museum for free which was pretty awesome.

Thursday was the day with all the museums and plaid. My mom signed up for a bunch of memberships so we got into a bunch of museums for free. We started at the Legion of Honor for the Faberge eggs, Tiffany, and Lalique show which was one of my favorites. It was AMAZINGLY beautiful. Then we had a picnic of falafel sandwiches and monsters overlooking the bay and we had an amazing view. PLUS it was a clear day. gorgeous.

Next we went to the De Young for the YSL and Warhol Live exhibits which were also really cool. At the De Young there is this tower that you can go up and the whole floor is floor to ceiling windows and you can see the whole city.

Our last stop was the SF MoMA which I have been to many times and love. We had to do it super quick this time (under an hour) because the parking was ridiculous.

We were staying the night in North Beach at my aunt's apartment, so we met her and her boyfriend for dinner and we went to an Irish pub with the best indian food and samosas ever. After dinner we walked around looking at $22 million homes and walked to the base of Coit Tower for the view of the city.

On our last day in the city we did the Fisherman's Wharf twice, Lombard St, and Golden Gate Park. We woke up in the morning and walked to the wharf, then up Hyde St to the top of Lombard, then down Lombard and back into North Beach for pizza and salt water taffy at the greatest candy store in the world. We went over to SF State to pick up Ryan and then just aimlessly drove around and decided to go back to the wharf again.

And Saturday we just packed up and left by noon and were home by 7. Now I'm back at LMU and it's A GOOD THING I DIDN'T DO ANY OF MY HOMEWORK ALL WEEK because now I have to write a 6 minute speech about recycling and a 3 page paper and powerpoint for theology. saaaaaaaaad. take me back to san francisco.
